McCredie has painted for over 50 years. A graduate of Eastern University, he was the first student from Eastern ever awarded a Fulbright Scholarship. While at Eastern, he studied privately with Daniel Miller (PAFA), Ithzak Sankowsky (Philadelphia Museum of Art), and Peter Thrasher. He studied Fine Art as a Fulbright Scholar to the University of Hamburg, Germany, and the Corcoran School of Art, with graduate degrees from Temple and Georgetown University.
